Affordable Drug Store Products Test

Why pay more? If you can find something that works that is cheaper?

I have to admit I am a sucker for big brands and believing they are so much better but are they? So I recently brought the Maybelline Super stay 24 Hour Foundation, Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer and the Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Lipstick to try out.

So first up is the Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour Foundation I have a real love hate for this product. My first impressions on was WOW this has good coverage! As I blended the product out I personally found it was a little drying on my skin however once it warmed to my skin I found it gave a really nice matte finish and looked super glam and flawless. Which for a night out or special occasion is what I want!! But personally I don’t wear a lot of make-up day to day so I wouldn’t wear this all the time. I also then put the foundation to the test of 24 hours as much as I could! As let’s face it who leaves there makeup on for 24 hours? I went for a intense hour work out and I have to say I was so impressed I don’t usually where make up to the gym but I wanted to try the wear of this foundation and I truly was amazed it didn’t even move!!!! Over the week of trying this foundation out , I have found its really broke me out but I personally have SUPER SENATIVE SKIN so if you don’t have sensitive skin I really recommend this product to you it’s great value for money at £9.99 such a bargain.

Next up was the Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer the only thing I can say is get to the shop now and grab yourself one!!! This is my NEW LOVE at £4.00 I want hundreds of them! The coverage is amazing it’s not too drying under the eye either. This is one the best concealers I’ve ever tried and I will be wearing it every day from now on. If you don’t try it you’re really missing out!

The finally product is the Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Lipstick again I love the range so many nice colours and it lasts FOREVER and it’s not drying on your lips like some matte lipsticks. The only annoying thing about this product is I don’t like the spatula but you can use a lip brush when using strong colours for a sharp edge. For £5.99 compared to a high end brand around £15.00 plus! The thought that I can buy 3 for the price of a high end brand is just mad I will not be looking back.

Below is a photo using all of the products talked about.

I’m so glad I have tried more affordable brands and really will be trying lots more out as I’m now in love!

Till next time
